Riyad Mahrez was left delighted with Manchester City’s victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.
The Algerian winger proved to be the match winner with his brilliant solo strike in the 37thminute.
We had found ourselves behind after N’Golo Kante found the net after 20 minutes, but a brilliant reaction from Mahrez and co resulted in a swift turnaround.
Kevin De Bruyne struck the leveller, before Mahrez finished expertly following his mazy run beyond two Chelsea defenders.
“It was a tough game against a good side, and I think we reacted very well after we conceded the first goal,” said Mahrez.
“We scored two quick goals and I think we deserved the win.
“I think I did good in the second half and the team was very good. We’re happy to take the three points today. We are very happy.”
