Pep Guardiola says he could not be more proud of his team for the way City have masterminded their own success.
The Premier League Champions sit top of Group C in the Champions League, having clinched a 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Matchday Two, courtesy of second half goals from Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.
The hosts dominated possession, carving out chance after chance at the Etihad Stadium, and also had penalty shouts waved away by referee Serdar Gözübüyük.

Guardiola credited the efforts of his squad for taking responsibility for their own fortunes to achieve their targets.
“It was good,” he reflected in his post-match press conference. “We didn’t concede one shot on target.
“We had huge possession and we scored - we had created enough chances to score earlier. We were patient and we conceded few set pieces and long balls - Bruno Petkovic is so strong. We didn’t let them run
“What I’m most delighted with is that what we have done this season and in previous seasons, nobody gave us anything. We did it for ourselves.
“That is top. I love this team.”
