The City boss praised Raheem Sterling for his red-hot form so far this season, but insisted it is the 24-year-old and his team-mates who deserve credit for that, rather than himself.

“I didn’t help him,” said Guardiola at his press conference ahead of City’s games against Aston Villa.
“All the credit is to him. We are there, we talk as a group. The quality of everyone helps the rest of the players. The credit is to him and the rest of the players.
“Always we dream of players getting better, month by month, season by season. He did it.
“The player has to be willing, otherwise it’s impossible.”
Guardiola also provided an update on injured duo Rodrigo and Oleksandr Zinchenko, whilst revealing what Phil Foden needs in order to develop.
