Riyad Mahrez believes City’s hard-fought win at Everton will prove a useful experience in the Champions’ hunt to retain the title.
The Algerian winger starred at Goodison Park to steer Pep Guardiola‘s men to victory, netting a superb free-kick to turn the game in his side’s favour.

Mahrez admitted City could have made life easier for ourselves with a more clinical first half but was pleased with the overall display.
“I think it was a good game from us,” he said. “We could have killed the game in the first half.
“In the first 20 minutes, we had a lot of chances but we didn’t score - compared to the game against Watford, when we only had five chances and scored five goals.
“We have to go through this type of game. We made a good game and we’re happy to have won.”
