Young players from Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad (EDS) and Girls’ Academy have been discussing how they cope with the pressure of being a footballer.
As part of the Heads Up campaign, EDS trio Tommy Doyle, Lewis Fiorini and Louie Moulden spoke to the Academy’s Head of Sports Psychology, Jennie Killilea, as did Amelia Booth, Beth Smyth and Alicia Window from our Girls’ youth set-up.

The youngsters revealed the obstacles they’ve had to overcome in the early stage of their career and how they work with the Club to look after their mental wellbeing.
The Heads Up campaign is a partnership between the FA and Heads Together, which is spearheaded by HRH The Duke of Cambridge and aims to harness the influence and popularity of football to normalise the conversation around mental health.
