Eric Garcia has spoken of his delight at being a Manchester City first-team player.
The young defender has emerged as a regular in recent weeks, seizing an opportunity to play after City suffered something of an injury crisis in defence.
And ahead of Sunday’s game at Villa Park, he says he’s living the dream.
“Villa have a really good squad,” he said. “I know Douglas Luiz, who was here. It’s gonna be good.
“We would have expected to be fighting Liverpool but we lost games we shouldn’t have lost.
“They haven’t lost a game yet, so credit to them, but we won’t give up. We have to fight.
“In the summer I was told I was with the first team but I knew it would be tough.
“I had a chance to play because of injuries. It’s special, when you are young you want top be in the first team and when you get here, it’s like another world.
“I am really young and I need to keep working hard.”
