Pep Guardiola says his rotation policy means he is not thinking about resting players over the coming weeks.
An eight-game January followed the busy festive period, with a crucial Champions League clash against Real Madrid to come after next month’s winter break, but the Manchester City boss does not feel this is the right time to give any player an extended rest.

“The problem with Madrid is after 12 or 13 days rest, we have just one game against Leicester,” he said.
“One game before Madrid. The players need rhythm.
“Against Fulham I’m going to play players who didn’t play in Sheffield and in the United game I am going to play players who don’t play on Sunday.
“I think I rotate quite a lot, to try and keep everybody involved. Maybe I had to think about that in the Christmas period, but I don’t think now is the time to make people rest.”
