Pep Guardiola says City’s hunger for more goals remains undiminished in the wake of the Club’s latest century of strikes.

When Bernardo Silva netted our second goal in Sunday’s 4-0 FA Cup fourth round win over Fulham, it brought up 100 goals for the season in all competitions and saw us become the first side in Europe’s top five leagues to achieve the feat.

It’s the seventh successive season that City have scored 100 goals or more, a remarkable testament to our prowess in front of goal and sheer consistency

And asked about how he kept his side sharp and hungry in front of goal at his pre-match press conference ahead of our Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester United, Guardiola was unequivocal in his response for his players.

“The quality of the players. To try always go for the next one and for the next one,” said the City manager.

“We always try to attack. The players in the midfield and the strikers that we have, that is the target.

“Always we believe that you should attack and then get control when you lose the ball, then the more chances you create.”
