Arsenal edged out Manchester City EDS in a close fought Premier League 2 encounter thanks to Jodi Osei-Tutu’s second half strike.

The Gunners hit City on the counter attack shortly after half-time, with the full-back popping up on the edge of the area to drill a low effort beyond Aro Muric.

It was a fifth defeat of the season for the Blues, who remain in eighth position, but they had chances of their own as snow fell at the Academy Stadium.

Tosin Adarabioyo flashed a head inches wide of the post just before the break, while in the latter stages Lukas Nmecha was denied by Dejan Illiev in the Arsenal goal.

Starting XI: Muric, Duhaney, Latibeaudiere, Adarabioyo, Francis, Smith, Davenport, Diaz, Matondo, Dilrosun, Nmecha.

Reaction: Simon Davies and Rabbi Matondo
