Manchester City were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Tottenham after a pulsating game at the Etihad Stadium.
City went 2-0 up with goals from Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne – but Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min to rescued a point for the visitors.
Gabriel Jesus made his debut, Sane was handed man of the match and the game was an end-to-end spectacular.
Afterwards, City manager Pep Guardiola said:
“We performed outstandingly - it was a deja vu game.
“It was the same as Chelsea - we created a lot but we missed a lot of chances. It happened against Everton at home, it happened against Chelsea. The players played with heart but we didn’t win.
“Except one or two games we’ve produced good performances this season. Tottenham - they are a brilliant team. We were able to make a huge performance and that’s why I am so so happy.... maybe in the future, for this Club, these games will make us stronger.”
