The two sides went into the last league game before Christmas with a lot to play for, so maybe the slightly cagey start should have been expected.

In tight games like this one, a natural goalscorer is a necessity, and in Georgia Stanway, we have just that. The in form forward took advantage of a Hannah Hampton mistake, winning the ball before showing clever feet to round the goalkeeper and slot home in the 12th minute.
Stanway said last week that her target was ten goals before Christmas, this was her 11th - with a game and a half to spare!
