Goals from Gabriel Jesus and David Silva saw City bounce back from defeat to Wolves with a dominant win over Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola’s side scored two goals in as many minutes shortly before half-time and though Crystal Palace rallied late on, we never looked like relinquishing the lead.
Jesus headed home from Bernardo Silva’s cross in the 39th minute for his 50th goal in a City shirt before Raheem Sterling’s cheeky scooped pass allowed Silva to volley through Wayne Hennessey’s legs with aplomb.
Sterling later spurned a number of chances, while Hennessey made a fine stop from Bernardo before the post prevented Kevin De Bruyne from extending our lead on his return from injury, but Palace had chances of their own.
Ederson produced a stunning save to deny Christian Benteke and was also at full stretch to keep out Wilfried Zaha, to give City the three points we deserved.
