The Argentine was the headline act in a showstopping City display in which Riyad Mahrez netted an early brace, which Aguero and Gabriel Jesus added to before half-time.
City’s No.10 wrote himself into the history books with two goals after the break, before Anwar El Ghazi netted a consolation from the penalty spot with the last kick of the game.
The night belonged to Aguero, but it was a superb evening’s work for Pep Guardiola‘s side, who moved up to second in the league on the back of this convincing victory.
