Manchester City are in a commanding position the Carabao Cup semi-final after a dominant 3-1 victory over Manchester United in the first leg.
Pep Guardiola’s side came flying out of the blocks at Old Trafford and scored three goals in a superb first half display.
The magnificent Bernardo Silva got the first, picking out the top corner with a 20-yard effort that kissed the underside of the crossbar, and then turned provider for Riyad Mahrez, who rounded David De Gea to double our lead.
The Spanish keeper saved well from Kevin De Bruyne shortly before the break, but it rebounded onto Andreas Pereira, who turned it into his own net to put City three goals to the good.
It was a more even affair in the second half, with Marcus Rashford netting for the hosts 20 minutes from time.
