The Dutchman was also solid at the back, making one block, two clearances and attaining a 100% tackle success rate.
He is happy with his current form and is keen to get even better.
“I haven’t scored many with my feet, it’s normally with my head, so yeah, I was pleased with that one today.
“I think i’m getting a lot of confidence from the manager and he’s helping me a lot, I think that’s good.
“To be playing a lot of games, you improve a lot each game and there’s still much more to come and I’m improving every game.
“Hopefully I can continue like this.”
The defender also spoke about the difficulty of playing against Arsenal, as well as giving his thoughts ahead of the fifth round of the competition.
