City’s summer-signing from Aston Villa was handed his first league start by manager Pep Guardiola in the team’s first fixture of the campaign.
The 25-year-old played the entire 90 minutes in London and showed signs of a promising relationship in attack with Raheem Sterling.
Ake, who also started at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, believes that the Englishman played well and showed some glimpses of what is to come.
“Very good and very confident,” said Ake when summing up Grealish’s display. “He had a lot of good touches and brings a lot of threat to our attacking game.
“He will be a very good player for us for the rest of the season.
The Dutchman also spoke about the reason for Tottenham’s victory, the importance of analysing the defeat and the excitement of playing in front of a packed Etihad Stadium next weekend.
