Julian Alvarez has expressed his delighted after scoring twice during City's 6-0 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest.

The striker was handed his first Premier League start by Pep Guardiola and didn’t disappoint, finding the next twice in the second half, after Erling Haaland‘s hat-trick in the first period and Joao Cancelo’s long-range strike shortly after the break.

The Argentine also hit the post in the first-half, but was delighted with his overall display. He said:

“Yeah I’m very happy personally because of the goals I scored and especially for the team for winning, and for the fans here at the Etihad Stadium.

“I always try to help the team in any way. I gave the best of me and I’m happy for it.

“I was a bit worried before I came because it’s a different world for me, but the coaching staff and players have helped me massively. I feel very happy and comfortable.”

The striker also spoke about the quality of teammate Erling Haaland and touched on how Pep Guardiola‘s praise makes him feel.
