The 26-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year contract at the Etihad Stadium on Friday and takes his place in Pep Guardiola’s star-studded squad.
Having already scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season, the two-footed winger has undoubtedly been one of the stars of the campaign to date.
And after arriving via Bristol City and Bournemouth, the Ghana international will now have his first crack at chasing the very biggest trophies in European football.
Speaking in his first interview as a City player, Semenyo was asked for his emotions after making the move official.
“It’s only sinking in now to be honest,” he began.

“I’ve had to work very hard to get to this point, I’m over the moon that it’s done and looking forward to the challenge.
“I’m so excited. I’m looking forward to meeting the boys, just competing at the highest level and hopefully winning all four competitions.
“I’m looking forward to it, and I can’t wait for the challenge.”
