Ahead of Wednesday’s all-important Etihad meeting between the top two teams in the country, we remember a crushing City victory over the Gunners during the 2009/10 season.
Micah Richards opened the scoring midway through the first half with a towering header but Arsenal’s Robin van Persie ensured scores were level at the break.
With a draw the most likely result, Craig Bellamy stepped up and fired City into the lead in the 74th minute before Shaun Wright-Phillips and Emmanuel Adebayor hammered home the advantage.
Adebayor’s 84th minute header is particularly memorable for the striker’s celebration, with the former Arsenal man running the full length of the pitch!
