Wembley matchwinner Aymeric Laporte says City will take all the belief and focus from Sunday’s historic fourth successive Carabao Cup final triumph into seeking to add the Premier League and Champions League to our haul of silverware.

Our French central defender headed home the all-important goal on 82 minutes to secure a deserved 1-0 win over Tottenham – and secure an eighth League Cup crown overall.

The big games keep on coming for Pep Guardiola’s side with the focus now immediately switching to Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg at Paris Saint-Germain, with City also five points away from regaining the Premier League title.

And looking ahead, Laporte said City’s mindset was clear and defined ahead of the biggest game of the season yet.

“The most important thing for us is to stay focused and to be patient,” Laporte told CityTV.

“We want to fight like it was the last game of the season and to try to make something big this year.

“We will fight until the end to try and win everything we can.”
