To mark his departure, we’ve put together a video montage as we thank our long-serving defender who won 13 major honours while representing the Club.
He joined us in January 2018 and went on to win five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three League Cups, one Community Shield, one UEFA Champions League and one UEFA Super Cup.
As well as being a powerful presence at the back for those triumphs, he also got on the scoresheet 12 times, with two in particular of vital importance.
He bagged the second in our come-from-behind 4-1 win at Brighton, a result which helped secure the Premier League title in 2018/19 and he also thumped home a header to win the Carabao Cup in 2020/21.
