Aymeric Laporte has explained the reasons behind his decision to wear the No.14 at Manchester City.
The defender took the shirt vacated by former striker Wilfried Bony upon his arrival at the Club in January 2018.
Laporte had worn the No.4 whilst at Athletic Bilbao and adopted the No.24 whilst playing for Spain in EURO 2020 and, although both of shirts remain free at City, the 27-year-old is happy to stick with the squad number he has held throughout his time at the Etihad Stadium.
