Rodri was given a huge ovation ahead of our home game with Tottenham Hotspur as he returned to the Etihad.
Our No.16 received a spectacular welcome back when he was presented on the pitch with the Ballon d’Or trophy.
Rodri is the first Manchester City player to win the prestigious honour and the first Spaniard to collect it in six decades.
The midfielder has been recovering in Spain from surgery after damaging his cruciate ligaments in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal back in September.
But the fans were delighted to welcome him back and show their appreciation for his magnificent achievement with the players also giving him a guard of honour.
