Bernardo Silva has expressed his determination to continue performing to the highest possible level after another energetic display in our 2-0 Champions League success over Galatasaray.

The Portuguese captained City to an impressive win thanks to goals from Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki, securing our automatic place in the last-16 of the competition with an eighth-placed finish in the League Phase.

It was another unrelenting performance from the skipper, who was, typically, still pressing forward and winning the ball back for Pep Guardiola’s side as the clock ticked towards stoppage time as the Turkish giants looked for a way back into the game.

When asked during his interview with City Studios about his impressive showing and consistently good form, Bernardo said:

“I’m enjoying this season.

“I’m trying to give it all for the club that gave me this opportunity to be here for so long and to achieve what I achieved.

“Until the end I’m going to be here fighting for the club and for the fans.”

Bernardo also spoke about the importance of achieving eighth spot in the table and touched on how it felt to play against former City captain Ilkay Gundogan, who skippered Galatasaray under the lights at the Etihad Stadium.
