The midfielder turned 26 on Monday, the same day we arrived in his home city of Lisbon to begin preparations for the Champions League tournament to be held there over a period of 11 days.
Our next assignment is a quarter-final against Lyon on Saturday evening.
“Guys thank you very much for tonight,” he said.
“It’s a pleasure, as you can imagine, for me to be here in Lisbon my home and try to fight for this competition.
“If i could pick a birthday present you know it would be a Champions League, so let’s go for it and hopefully in a few weeks we can celebrate together!”
