Bernardo was one of Pep Guardiola’s most vital players in City’s 2022/23 Treble success. And not just last season but in all his campaigns in blue since joining the Club in 2017.
His versatility on the pitch has shone on multiple occasions during his 327 appearances hence the title of his Masterclass ‘Total Football’.
Since becoming a blue, Bernardo has been deployed in the centre of the pitch the most but has also played in seven other positions for City, including a brief stint at left-back.
Another shining attribute of Bernardo is his work rate – he never stops running!
He ran a total of 13.7km during City’s 2017/18 2-1 home win over Liverpool, the highest distance covered by a City player in a single Premier League match.
