They say attack is the best form of defence and our Portuguese full-back has shown both sides of his game in a fine 2020/21 campaign.

Across 43 appearances in all competitions, the 27-year-old helped to solidify a mean City defence, which conceded the fewest league goals, whilst also contributing at the sharp end of the pitch with three goals and five assists.

He provided five goal contributions in 28 Premier League appearances, helping Pep Guardiola‘s men to our fifth title and also played a key part in our fourth consecutive Carabao Cup success.

Versatile and attack-minded, Cancelo has provided a different outlet and has taken everything in his stride.
