That fine form continued on a European front, with the forward scoring or assisting five of the eight goals that City put past Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain respectively as we reached a maiden Champions League final.

The Algerian particularly flourished against the Parisians with three goals in two games across the semi-final, including a match-winning brace in the second leg at the Etihad Stadium.
Mahrez was also recognised by City supporters for his stellar season, reaching the final three in our Etihad player of the season vote alongside teammates Ruben Dias and Ilkay Gundogan.
