Oscar Bobb described his full Premier League debut in the 1-0 victory over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium as "very special".

After making seven substitute appearances in the top-flight this season, Bobb was named as a starter for the first time by manager Pep Guardiola.

The youngster almost marked the occasion with a goal, only to see his goal-bound strike cleared off the line by Ben Mee in the first half.

Erling Haaland struck the winner with just under 20 minutes left to play and Bobb was overjoyed after his full Premier League debut.

“It was of course very special, a dream of course and to get the win, I was very relieved in the end.

“I think it was loud and the support was very good tonight. It helped us a lot. I love this stadium and this club, it’s great.

“I think it’s natural to have a bit of nerves, but with the players you have here, they’re great at helping and easing you in, it makes it a lot easier.

“As you get some experiences you just want more and more, so expectations go up, but you have to keep yourself grounded, so I’m just trying to keep myself grounded.”
