A spectacular Ilkay Gundogan overhead strike and Erling Haaland penalty sealed victory at Craven Cottage to clinch third place in the Premier League for City – and with it qualification for next season’s Champions League.
Gundogan opened the scoring on 21 minutes, executing a brilliant overhead kick for what was his first league goal since re-joining City last summer.
And Gundogan then won a second half penalty which was executed by Haaland to seal both victory and with it our place in Europe’s elite competition for a 15th consecutive season.
