A second half Erling Haaland brace helped Pep Guardiola’s men secure a priceless eighth successive league win – and moved us back on top of the table and within three points of an historic fourth successive Premier League title.
This latest triumph – on what was a tense, eventful night with Spurs pushing to keep their Champions League hopes alive – also represented our first-ever league win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It also saw substitute keeper Stefan Ortega Moreno, who came on for the injured Ederson in the second half, produce a series of outstanding saves to deny Spurs.
It all means that if City beat West Ham at the Etihad this Sunday in our final league fixture we will be crowned champions for a sixth time in seven years – regardless of what Arsenal do in their league finale at home to Everton.
