Nonetheless, Pep Guardiola’s men harbour plenty of fond memories from previous matchups with the Seagulls, including a 4-1 victory which retained the title on the final day of the 2018-19 season.

Riyad Mahrez was on target that day at the Amex with a thunderous strike into the top corner of Mat Ryan’s net, before Ilkay Gundogan rounded off the scoring with an inch-perfect free-kick.

Both of those goals feature in our list, as does our first strike of the previous season, when Sergio Aguero rounded off a swift counter in front of the travelling City fans in August 2017.

Two strikes from our most recent visits to the Amex Stadium round off the selection, with Raheem Sterling’s clinical finish in July 2020 and Phil Foden’s mazy run from his own half both featured.
