Pep Guardiola’s side make the trip to the south coast on Sunday August 31, with kick-off slated for 14.00pm (UK).
It’s the last game before the September international break with City looking to make it two wins out of two on the road following a 4-0 success at Wolves in our opening away fixture.
But before then, in the latest instalment of our new video series, we look back at some previous iterations of the fixture and the most recent 10 goals City scored.
We first recall a fine 4-1 win back in 2021/22 which featured memorable strikes from Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez.
Foden was on target again in a 1-1 draw towards the tail end of the 2022/23 Treble season and then maintained his AMEX hot streak with a Brighton brace in 2023/24’s brilliant 4-0 success which also featured a stunning Kevin De Bruyne header and customary cool finish from Julian Alvarez.
And no goal compilation would be complete without Erling Haaland who was on target in last term’s narrow 2-1 loss away to the Seagulls.
