Pep Guardiola says his players will learn from the defensive errors suffered against Sporting CP.

The Blues will look to bounce back from an injury-hit run of three defeats at Brighton on Saturday.

Against Sporting in midweek, we arguably played some of our best football of the season for the first 35 minutes or so and should have perhaps led by more than Phil Foden‘s early strike.

But the hosts levelled just before the break and would go on tow score two penalties in the second half - penalties Guardiola says his team will learn from.

Asked if he was disappointed with the loss in Lisbon, he said: “Just with the penalties we conceded. For the action in the Champions League, in the Premier League it would not be given but it is Europe.

“We will improve with that.”
