It’s Champions League final day on Saturday as we take on Italian side, Inter, in Turkey’s Ataturk Stadium with a chance to win the competition for the very first time.
It’s something we’ve been striving to do for some time and we’ve come so close over the past few years.
There was heartache against Real Madrid in 2021/22 as Los Blancos staged an incredible comeback to eliminate us at the semi-final stage while in 2020/21 we went even closer, but ultimately came up short by losing to Chelsea in the final.
This time, we want to go one stage further and lift the famous old trophy.
City are one of thirteen English football clubs to have won a European title, in our case the 1969/70 Cup Winners’ Cup. Now we aim to join an even smaller group of five, including Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, to have won the ultimate prize.
