Erling Haaland and Cherki both grabbed a brace each under the lights at Selhurst Park as we made it two wins from two league fixtures this season.
Cherki has started the new campaign in scintillating form and now has four goal involvements across the opening two games.
The midfield maestro was given a standing ovation by the raucous away support, who also bellowed his name with pride after a wonderful display.
In his interview on Matchday Live after the game, Cherki was grateful for the wonderful support.
“I feel very nice, very happy. The first half was not easy because Crystal Palace defended very well.
“In the second half I took more freedom and we are very happy with a big win today.
“I love when the fans sing for me. But we know the championship is so hard. We need to work a lot. And you can speak after the season.”
The midfielder also spoke about our aim to keep getting stronger week by week and reserved some special praise for his former boss and current Palace boss Pierre Sage.
