Each month CITC will spotlight its work and programmes through the voices and stories of its participants across Manchester.
The second video sees Harley from Etchells Primary School talk about what he enjoys in his Premier League Primary Stars sessions with CITC, as well as reflecting on a very special meeting with City stars Manuel Akanji and Cole Palmer.
Harley, age 10, said: “The most important thing I have learnt is that we need to always encourage people to try their hardest at everything.”
CITC’s Premier League Primary Stars programme is delivered to five- to 11-year-olds across Greater Manchester, with the aim of upskilling teachers around delivering PE and school sport.
CITC coaches work with pupils to build on their physical and social development.
The programme also delivers educational workshops on topics such as anti-bullying and anti-racism throughout the year.
Coaches work closely with teachers to ensure they feel comfortable to deliver a subject they may not do otherwise.
Coaches are able to adapt their approach, the content and physical activity sessions in order to best meet the requirements of the school/group that they are working with.
