The Club’s charity, City in the Community (CITC), has been celebrating the festive period with a series of Christmas parties.

Parties for CITC participants were held at the City Football Academy and in the Etihad Stadium, in an aim to bring people together and spread joy and festivities.

50 participants from CITC’s Walking Football and ReminisCITY programmes were invited to the stadium to take part in some festive bingo, enjoy a Christmas dinner and listen to some live music from Martin from the Manchester City tours team and his band, Band Age.

500 Primary School participants were invited to a Winter Wonderland event, full of fun and festivities. Participants were able to take part in inflatable darts football, Zorb football, arts and crafts and much more.

One student who attended the event said: “I dreamt about going to Manchester City last night, and my dreams came true this morning.”

One teacher commented on the event saying: “Just to say the children had an amazing time yesterday at City’s Winter Wonderland. Thank you for inviting us we really appreciate it. Have a lovely Christmas.”

CITC’s younger City Play participants enjoyed some arts and crafts, all while watching a Christmas film with their families, as part of an Early Years part for children under five.

They even had a very special guest, Moonchester surprise them.

City in the Community moves with city youth to empower healthier lives through football.
