There are various scenarios that could see that happening, but Pep is only thinking that Arsenal will win their final two games against Manchester United and Everton.
If that happens – the Blues will have needed to have beaten Fulham and Spurs in order to set up a final day title decider against West Ham at the Etihad, where a home victory would guarantee a fourth successive league crown.
“We had people injured, but now everyone is fit,” said Pep.
“Now we have a couple of days off to rest and then go to Fulham and then to Spurs - and hopefully we can arrive against West Ham with the chance it’s in our hands.”
The boss also praised Erling Haaland and Josko Gvardiol after our 5-1 win over Wolves kept the pressure on leaders Arsenal.
“Erling has mental strength with the skills as well,” he said.
“People say scoring penalties is luck - it’s not luck.
“He thinks ‘I am going to take the penalty and I am going to score’. That’s confidence.”
And asked about Gvardiol’s recent form, Pep said: “I would say more than [just the past few] weeks.
“There was a period that he was uncertain, but I said it’s normal in the Premier League in the first season.
“It’s so demanding and physical, but we talk.
“We saw many of his performances and he got it.
“He can play central and left, he is a lovely guy and has the ability. We are really pleased.”
