Pep Guardiola’s side return to the capital on Sunday for the 16:30 (UK) kick-off against Arsenal as we aim to secure our first silverware of the season.
City have won the trophy on eight occasions – second only to Liverpool on the all-time winners’ list.
And for one City fan it will be a happy return to the capital, having been there each time we have lifted the trophy in the past.

Now 77, Keith Towers was at Wembley back in 1970 for the very first time we won it, with a 2-1 victory over West Brom.
He was back six years later to see Dennis Tueart’s famous overhead kick secure a win over Newcastle but would then have to wait another 38 years to see us win it again.
We collected the trophy again in 2014 and 2016 before winning it four years in succession under Guardiola.
Keith attended all of those, including the 2021 victory over Spurs when COVID restrictions meant there were fewer than 8,000 people in the stadium.
We caught up with him to discuss his magic moments of eight unforgettable League Cup triumphs and his memories of being there.
