Along with Phil Foden, Bernardo and Stones are our most decorated players ever having been part of every single trophy won under Guardiola’s guidance.
With the exits of all three confirmed ahead of the final game of the season, we took the opportunity to show our gratitude for their efforts over a decade that has changed this Club at every level.
Bernardo and Stones took part in final interviews, reminiscing on their glories and thanking the fans for unwavering support.
Both players were the combined focus of a pop-up pub in central Manchester named ‘The Stones & Silva’, while they also received mosaics at the City Football Academy and a season ticket to the Etihad for life.
There will also be in-depth features on the pair to come.
Pep delivered his own special message to the City faithful to announce his exit, before further videos in his honour set to iconic Oasis music and a sit down with Noel Gallagher.
The Catalan also watched back as fans delivered emotional messages to him, as well as meeting up with Braydon Bent, who was one of the first Mancunians to be introduced to him in Pep’s Taxi back in 2016.
All of that was topped off with ceremonies after the final game of the season and then special, unique tributes to each of them during our Parade and After Party the following day.
Ederson and Ilkay Gundogan, who both left in 2025, were also present to show their love, as were a host of legends from throughout Guardiola’s time in charge, including Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho.
