Enzo Maresca’s squad arrived in Asia on Wednesday and since stepping off the plane, our supporters have been incredible.
From our open training session on Friday to today’s friendly against Inter Milan, there has been a sea of blue across the city.
And speaking on Matchday Live after an important set of minutes in front of 42,000 fans at the Kai Tak Stadium, in which Semenyo set up Divin Mubama in our 1-1 draw before the Serie A side won on penalties, the Ghana international expressed his gratitude to the fans.
“They’ve been amazing,” began the 26-year-old.

“Just from when we stepped into the hotel to the training sessions, they’ve been amazing.
“So passionate. And also, so polite as well when asking for signatures, pictures, it’s so nice to see, refreshing.”
And on working with Maresca in the build-up to our first set of match minutes under the new manager, Semenyo was ebullient in his praise of the Italian.
“It’s been amazing. He’s been really good with us,” he added.
“The shape, everything, it’s coming together slowly. And you can see in the game that we are working on the patterns. It’s been good so far, everyone is enjoying it.”
