Former City skipper Kolo Toure says City and Liverpool are unique in their style, but equally effective.

The popular Ivory Coast defender spent four years with City from 2009 to 2013, playing 103 games and helping the Club land the FA Cup and Premier League title during his stay.

He then moved to Liverpool, where he stayed for a further three seasons.

After one more year with Celtic, Kolo moved into coaching alongside Brendan Rodgers and is now Leicester City’s first team coach.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s clash between City and Liverpool, Kolo says it has become one of the Premier League’s most fascinating rivalries.

“They have shown there are different ways to win games,” he said.

“The most important thing is you master the way you play and get the best from the players and both teams have done that and made the Premier League unbelievable.

“In my opinion, they have the best players and best managers in the world right now and the styles of play is unbelievable.”
