Pep Guardiola has revealed his admiration for Norwich City manager Daniel Farke ahead of Saturday afternoon's clash with the Canaries.

Guardiola‘s men face the newly-promoted side in City’s first home league game of the 2021/22 season.

The Spaniard has already come up against Farke previously in the Premier League in the 2019/20 season and spoke highly of the Norwich boss.

“There are relations where you have more feelings than the others,” he said. “Not in managers, in life. The two or three times we met each other… he is German. I worked there.

“I like his courage. The proposal is always so attractive. I like it.

“I am very pleased they came back after being relegated. The support he had from the club and now they have extended the contract for many years. That means they feel comfortable together. That’s all.”

Guardiola also spoke about the fitness of Kevin de Bruyne, the integration of Jack Grealish into the squad and also touched on his optimism for the season ahead.
