The Algerian was one of the standout performers on the night for Pep Guardiola’s men, crossing in for our opener inside 15 minutes before coolly sweeping home the third with stoppage time approaching to finally down a stubborn Wolves side.
The three points means that City extend their record breaking run of victories to 21 matches, and have now equalled our longest ever unbeaten streak of 28 matches.
But while Mahrez is proud of the display and our phenomenal form, there are no chances of him or his teammates resting on their laurels.

He said: “To be fair, 21 games is unbelievable but we have to keep going.
“It’s very good, we’ve worked very hard to arrive at this point but it’s not finished.
“We have to keep going and show the same passion and focus every game.”
