Young fans Alex and Scarlet received a surprise Christmas call in 2021 from City goalkeeper Zack Steffen, having sadly lost their father John earlier that year.
In that call, Steffen invited them over to the Etihad to watch their beloved Blues in a game in future. That day arrived earlier this month when Leicester City were the visitors.
Having flown over with mum Jen from their home in the US, the family were guests of honour for our Blue Carpet experience meaning they were first to welcome the players to the ground.
After watching the Blues register a 3-1 win, they made their way down to the tunnel to meet Rodrigo, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Ilkay Gundogan and Alex’s favourite player Kevin De Bruyne.
