On this day in 2012, City became the first club to record 20 successive home victories in the Premier League as we fought back from a goal down to beat Chelsea 2-1.

It was an incredible achievement by Roberto Mancini’s side.

The Italian boss recalled Carlos Tevez for his first appearance since September following a very public falling out away to Bayern Munich.

It was a wise move and the Argentine made a vital contribution off the bench to help City reduce Manchester United’s lead at the top of the table to one point in a title race that would be settled in the most dramatic fashion.

Tevez was introduced shortly after Gary Cahill’s deflected effort put the visitors in front on the hour mark.

Michael Essien’s handball allowed Sergio Aguero to equalise from the penalty spot before Tevez slid Samir Nasri in to net an 85th minute winner which sparked jubilant celebrations at the Etihad Stadium.
