After an incisive City move, Tevez slid in at the back post to turn home Gael Clichy’s low cross.
Silva got his goal a few minutes later, drilling a shot low and hard beyond Rob Elliot.
Our third came shortly before the hour mark when captain Kompany diverted a wayward Gareth Barry effort into the net.
The scoring was complete with more than 20 minutes remaining when Toure burst through the defence and hit a shot that Elliot could only parry into the roof of the net.
