The City and England midfielder - a summer recruit from Aston Villa - has enjoyed a positive first few months at the Etihad Stadium.
Although he did not feature in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Burnley, Guardiola asserts the 25-year-old has been a key figure in the side both domestically and in the Champions League.
And ahead of Tuesday’s resumption of European action away to Club Brugge, City boss Guardiola expressed his happiness at Grealish’s impact so far.
Now, he said the next challenge for the player was to adapt to the demands of playing every three or four days at the highest level across all competitions, with Grealish playing in European action for the first time.
“We spoke about that. About what he has to live when he is not here: eating, resting sleeping, living 24 hours for his profession. What he has done so far is excellent,” Guardiola asserted at his pre-match press conference.

“Except Burnley, he played every game at a good level and I am sure he will improve. As a manger, you have to think about what best position for him to give us.
“The games he played he played really well. I am pretty sure he is so focused on what he has to do in the game -on and off the pitch.
“He is strong, his weight and body fat is perfect. his mentality is in the right place. Hopefully we can help him but yes, this is the first time he played every three days.
“It is different but we do this for 11 months, every three or four days. It’s different but it’s a good challenge for him.”
