Cole Palmer says there is much more to come in terms of his development at Manchester City in the wake of signing his new contract extension.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder put pen to paper on a new deal today that will extend his stay at the Club through to 2026.

One of the most highly regarded players to have emerged from our Academy over the past few years, Palmer made his senior City debut in September of last year in our 3-0 Carabao Cup win at Burnley.

He also made his Champions League bow in the 2020/21 campaign as well as featuring on the bench in a number of Premier League games.

However, the teenager believes that with his professional and physical development still ongoing, he will only continue to progress in terms of his growth and potential.

“There is a lot more to come,” Palmer told CityTV.

“I have been in the first-team a year so hopefully I can play and make an impact.

“I think Manchester City is the best place for me. It’s a very proud moment and a dream come true.”
